SUMMARY:Williamsport: Umpire Academy
DESCRIPTION:Little League® International Baseball and Softball is pleased to extend a cordial invitation to all league volunteers to join our enthusiastic Little League Instructors in Williamsport\, Pennsylvania on April 25-30\, 2023\, to our Little League Umpire Academy. Students must be a minimum of eighteen years old to attend this Academy. Enrollment in this Academy will be limited to forty (40) participants. It will be held in the Dr. Creighton J. Hale International Grove Dining Hall\, Recreation Room (2nd Floor)\, and the field facilities at International Headquarters. Should we experience inclement weather all field exercises and plate work will be conducted indoors. \nThe week-long session will cover rules\, regulations\, and interpretations (Baseball and Softball); the mechanics of the two-umpire system; the philosophy\, mental approach\, and attitude toward Little League Baseball and Softball; the handling of situations and control of the game; as well as three-and four-umpire system discussions. \nREGISTER NOW \nThe cost of the academy will include three meals per day (Tuesday- Sunday)\, and two meals (Sunday)\, and housing in Little League International Dormitories. Each student attending the academy will need to provide their own equipment including an umpire hat\, indicator for balls and strikes\, baseball glove\, mask\, and complete plate gear (if they have it). The preferred uniform for the school is heather or charcoal gray umpire pants\, black t-shirt\, black shoes\, and black belt. \nWe offer an enjoyable experience that will afford each volunteer umpire the opportunity to become properly trained before the season starts. Please encourage other umpires\, coaches\, and managers to attend. SUMMARY:Williamsport: Umpire Mechanics Clinic
DESCRIPTION:The Little League International In-Person Umpire Mechanics Clinic will be conducted outside using the fields at the home of the Little League Baseball World Series. If impacted by inclement weather\, all field instruction and plate work will be conducted indoors using the new Little League batting cages. \nThe cost of the clinic is $135 per student. Enrollment will be limited to 40 umpire students. The clinic fee pays for\, three meals on Saturday and two meals on Sunday\, and lodging on-site in the Creighton J. Hale International Grove where the players stay during the World Series each summer. \nRegistration Opens on January 1\, 2023 \nThis clinic emphasizes training on both plate and base mechanics in the two-umpire system. SUMMARY:Southeast Umpire Mechanics Clinic 1.0
DESCRIPTION:About Clinic\nDuring Umpire Mechanics Clinic 1.0\, attendees will receive instruction on the two-umpire system\, which includes field mechanics\, plate mechanics and game management principles. Attendees during the weekend will be able to gain skills and knowledge to enable the umpire to be proficient in the two-umpire system. \nUmpire Mechanics 1.0 is best suited for umpires who are new\, novice or need additional work in the two-umpire system or in general as an umpire. No prerequisites are needed to attend this clinic. \nThis clinic will be similar to the past Two-Umpire Mechanics Clinic\, with 1.0 replacing that former clinic. SUMMARY:Umpire Mechanics Clinic - Williamsport
DESCRIPTION:The Little League International In-Person Umpire Mechanics Clinic will be conducted outside using the fields at the home of the Little League Baseball World Series. If impacted by inclement weather\, all field instruction and plate work will be conducted indoors using the new Little League batting cages. \nThe cost of the clinic is $135 per student. Enrollment will be limited to 40 umpire students. Must be at least 18 years old to attend. The clinic fee pays for\, three meals on Saturday and one meal on Sunday\, and lodging on-site in the Creighton J. Hale International Grove where the players stay during the World Series each summer. \nREGISTER NOW \nThis clinic emphasizes training on both plate and base mechanics in the two-umpire system. Each student attending the clinic will need to provide their own equipment including an umpire hat\, indicator for balls and strikes\, baseball glove\, mask\, and complete plate gear (if they have it). \nDue to the on-going pandemic\, it is imperative that you understand the following: “Little League reserves the right to implement mitigation efforts at tournaments that may include\, but not limited to\, masking\, testing\, and vaccination requirements.” \nAlong with Little League’s in-person clinics and free webinars\, members of the Little League Umpire Registry also receive free access to the most current editions of the Rules Instruction Manual and Clinic Instruction. DESCRIPTION:Little League® International Baseball and Softball is pleased to extend a cordial invitation to all league volunteers to join our enthusiastic Little League Instructors in Williamsport\, Pennsylvania on April 17-21\, 2024\, to our Little League Umpire Academy. Students must be a minimum of eighteen years old to attend this Academy. Enrollment in this Academy will be limited to forty (40) participants. It will be held in the Dr. Creighton J. Hale International Grove Dining Hall\, Recreation Room (2nd Floor)\, and the field facilities at International Headquarters. Should we experience inclement weather all field exercises and plate work will be conducted indoors. \nThe week-long session will cover rules\, regulations\, and interpretations (Baseball and Softball); the mechanics of the two-umpire system; the philosophy\, mental approach\, and attitude toward Little League Baseball and Softball; the handling of situations and control of the game; as well as three-and four-umpire system discussions. \nREGISTER ON JANUARY 1 \nThe cost of the academy will include three meals per day (Wednesday – Saturday)\, and one meal (Sunday)\, and housing in Little League International Dormitories. Each student attending the academy will need to provide their own equipment including an umpire hat\, indicator for balls and strikes\, baseball glove\, mask\, and complete plate gear (if they have it). The preferred uniform for the school is heather or charcoal gray umpire pants\, black t-shirt\, black shoes\, and black belt. \nWe offer an enjoyable experience that will afford each volunteer umpire the opportunity to become properly trained before the season starts.
