Game Attendance: 7,311

Australia scored the first run of the game, and its first run of the 2013 Little League Baseball® World Series, but in the end, the team from Texas won the game. A five-run third inning that included a three-run dinger from Jared Cruz, helped Southwest beat Australia 5-2 in consolation play at Lamade Stadium.

Teammate Jacob Garza also hit a solo homer for the team from Universal Little League in Corpus Christi, Texas.

The five-run third answered the two runs Australia -- who is from Perth -- scored in the top half of the third. Australia showed sound fundamentals on both offense and defense throughout the World Series, and great sportsmanship.

This year marked the first time Australia has been represented in the Little League World Series.
