Note About Tournament Rules

In April 2007, the Tournament Committee voted to remove this language from Little League Tournament Rules effective immediately:

NOTE: An individual that manages or coaches in another youth baseball/softball program is not eligible to be appointed to manage or coach a tournament team in the Little League program at the same age division as defined in Regulation I(a), unless a waiver is granted by the appropriate regional director.

For the 2007 International Tournament, this means that individuals who manage or coach at the same level in other youth baseball and softball programs are eligible to manage and coach teams in the Little League International Tournament, so long as they meet the other requirements for managing and coaching tournament teams. (See “Tournament Organization – Managers and Coaches” on page T-3 of the Little League Baseball and Little League Softball Official Regulations and Playing Rules.)

This language appears in the baseball and softball rulebooks as well as on the Tournament Affidavit, which were both printed previous to the change. We have attempted to call attention to the changes on these electronic resources.

Online Affidavits

Note 1: Users with the latest versions of Adobe Acrobat will be able to save and edit the electronic baseball and softball affidavits linked here. This is useful for correcting mistakes. However, the forms still have to be printed for appropriate signatures once all information is corrected.

Note 2: The electronic baseball affidavits linked here differ slightly from the printed versions distributed by mail. Page Four (The “Little League Baseball Pitch Count Data Sheet”) of the electronic version provides more information about pitch count limits and adds a column for “level of play.” Either pitching record (the printed and the electronic versions) may be used this year, but must have appropriate signatures for each game.
