International Tournament Tip of the Day – Tip 5

A Player’s Tournament Eligibility – Percentage of games played – New for 2008

As a result of votes cast by delegates at the 24th Little League International Congress, convened April 2008, in Houston Texas, players are required to participate in 60 percent of his/her team’s regular season games as of June 15, to be eligible for selection to a tournament team.

For Big League-age baseball and softball players, they must be on the roster for 60 percent of the team’s games to be eligible for selection to a tournament team.
