Latin America vs. Europe

Blame it on the Casanova!
Latin America clean-up hitter Jose Casanova had fourteen total bases in the international pool-play finale.
Casanova went 4-5 including two homeruns, a double, and eight RBI. He single handedly rode Latin America to its 16-3 victory over Europe. With the win, Latin America finishes 3-0 in pool play and advances to the International Championship Game on Thursday night.
Europe finished the tournament 0-3, but manager Jim Oliver assured that the boys had a good time. For Europe, Timmy Gulliver had a RBI single in the first and Kodiak Reed had a RBI double in the third.
Latin America will face Japan in the International Championship. They hope they can save some of that offense for that all-important contest. For Latin America, Luis Cruz, Christian Gonzalez, and Jorge Colon each had two hits.
