SOUTHWEST DEFEATS WEST IN GAME TEN OF THE 2007 LITTLE LEAGUE
WORLD SERIES
WILLIAMSPORT,
PA (August 19, 2007)… After letting Southwest score two points early
in the first inning, including a homerun by short-stop Bryndan
Arredondo, the West team held them to an uneventful second inning
with no runs, no hits, and no runners on base. Eager to redeem
themselves and get back in the game West tried to get something on
the score board, but Southwest again held them to zero.
Early in the third inning, pitcher Zane Ancell hit another one out
of the park and, after Max Randolph rounded the bases, made the
score 4-0 Southwest. West got on the board late in the fourth inning
when Cody Bellinger crossed home plate.
Bryndan Arredondo hit another home run, his second, on the first
pitch of the fifth inning making the final score 5-1.
The next game for the West will be on Tuesday, August 21 at 8 p.m.
in Howard J. Lamade Stadium against the Midwest. Southwest will face
