Little League is launching a program designed to help managers and coaches be their best. While part of the program is making managers and coaches better at teaching skills, it is also aimed at making them better teachers and role models.

Recognizing that manager and coach are the most vital link in making a youngster’s experience in Little League a success, Little League has teamed up with world-renowned baseball trainers Al Herback and Al Price (Al & Al) to bring you the Official Little League Manager/Coach Educational Program.

The Program includes a valuable library of resources targeted at managers and coaches, players and their parents
The Basic Instruction Manual for managers and coaches of Baseball and Softball of 9-12 year old divisions provides step-by-step teaching methods for the fundamentals of the game.

The Official Little League Player Instruction Passport is a pocket-sized guide for players on how to execute the skills correctly and mirrors the content in the Basic Manual.

Know Your Baseball interactive CD-ROM -- A revolutionary way for players, managers and coaches to get to know baseball and Little League through interactive multimedia.

Planning a Practice Video is for Coaches and Managers of 8 -12 year old divisions, includes tips on how to plan and run a practice and over 50 drills to keep the kids active and having fun while they learn.

Additions to the library of resources include: Tee Ball Instruction Manual provides parents and coaches ideas on how to teach the skills of the game to 5-8 year olds, just starting out. The Tee Ball Passport to fun is a great little booklet of skills and fun activities that mirrors the content within the Tee Ball Instructional Manual.

We have developed this program because the heart of Little League is what happens between the manager/coach and the player. The manager/coach is the one person who can make a difference between the youngster having a wonderful experience in Little League or a miserable one.
