“Pitch In For Baseball” to Assist Little Leagues in Need – And You Can Help
In recent years, hundreds of thousands of families along the Gulf Coast of the U.S. were devastated by hurricanes. Little League International, in conjunction with Pitch In For Baseball™, is now asking for help from local Little Leagues.

Pitch In For Baseball is a non-profit charity providing assistance for Little League families impacted by the disaster. The organization is collecting new and gently used youth baseball and softball equipment, which will be sorted and redistributed to underserved or recently devastated chartered local Little League programs.

How you can help:
Pitch In For Baseball is collecting new or gently used youth baseball and softball gloves, catcher’s gear, and bats. New youth batting helmets and baseballs also are needed. Pitch In For Baseball defines a “gently used” item as one that does not need repair in order to be used. It is an item the donor would feel comfortable giving to a family member, friend or neighbor as a hand-me-down. The donor of the equipment will be responsible for the cost of shipping donated equipment to Pitch In For Baseball. Donations of equipment should be sent to:

Pitch In For Baseball
1901 Pennsylvania Avenue
Fort Washington, PA 19034

Pitch In For Baseball also is accepting financial contributions to help offset the costs of shipping these items to recipient communities/leagues. A good rule of thumb is that they will need at least $1 for every item donated.

Contributions are fully tax deductible and can be included with the equipment donations, or made directly through the Pitch In For Baseball website at http://www.pitchinforbaseball.org. If you are making monetary contributions by check, please make it out to “Pitch In For Baseball.” Credit card contributions can also be made directly and securely through the Pitch In For Baseball website using PayPal.

Please make sure to include your name and address with any contribution so that Pitch In For Baseball can give you the documentation you will need in order to claim a tax deduction. Pitch In For Baseball is a 501 (c) (3) charity and donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent permitted by U.S. tax laws and regulations.

Please feel free to forward a link to this page to families within your Little League program so that they can participate as well in this worthy effort.

Any questions about the program should be directed to Pitch In For Baseball’s Executive Director, David Rhode. David can be reached at drhode@pitchinforbaseball.org.
