Pitch In For Baseball Requests More Donations

In February, Little League International announced a partnership with a youth baseball charity called Pitch In For Baseball™.

In the last two months dozens of leagues from around the country have responded with donations of equipment, uniforms and money. Countless more leagues are in the process of collecting equipment during their Little League season. We want to thank all those donors for their generous efforts.

Simply stated, Pitch In For Baseball will be the central organization we partner with for the collection of new and gently used youth baseball and softball equipment. Pitch In For Baseball will sort and redistribute your league’s equipment donations to underserved or recently devastated chartered Little League organizations. In the last few weeks, Pitch In For Baseball has sent donated equipment to leagues in the areas near New Orleans, La., Biloxi, Miss., and Mobile, Ala.

How You Can Help
Many leagues still need assistance. Pitch In For Baseball collects equipment all year round. They still need new or gently used youth baseball gloves, catcher’s gear, NOCSAE approved batting helmets and bats. New youth baseballs are also needed. Pitch In For Baseball defines a “gently used” item as one that does not need repair in order to be used. It is an item a person would feel comfortable giving to a family member, friend or neighbor as a hand-me-down. Donations of equipment can be sent to:

Pitch In For Baseball is also accepting financial contributions to help offset the costs of shipping these items to recipient communities/leagues. A good rule of thumb is that they will need at least $1 for every item donated. Contributions are fully tax deductible and can be included with the equipment donations or made directly through the Pitch In For Baseball website.

To make a monetary contribution by check, please make it out to “Pitch In For Baseball”. Credit card contributions can also be made directly and securely through the Pitch In For Baseball website. Pitch In For Baseball is a 501 c (3) charity and donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent permitted by U.S. tax laws and regulations.
