Little League International mourns the passing of 9-year-old Little Leaguer Christina-Taylor Green, who perished yesterday in the shootings in Tucson, Ariz.

Miss Green, who played second base for the Pirates in the Canyon del Oro Little League, is the granddaughter of former Philadelphia Phillies manager Dallas Green. She was at the shopping center where the shootings occurred to meet Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, to learn more about becoming a public servant.
