By Communications Division SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (May 24, 2010) - Little League International mourns the recent passing of Mike DeBartolo, former New Jersey District 6 Administrator. He was 63. A native of Palisades Park, N.J., Mr. DeBartolo served as a volunteer District Administrator for 12 years. For 15 years, Mr. DeBartolo worked for the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission in Newark, N.J. He was a member of the Palisades Park Fire Department and Recreation Committee, and a former member of the Newark Board of Education. In Palisades Park, Mr. DeBartolo served as a past president of the Palisades Park Little League prior to his election as New Jersey District 6 Administrator on Sept. 1989. Mr. DeBartolo considered the many friends that he met through Little League, and knowing that he helped make a positive impact on our youth, as he greatest personal rewards. Mr. DeBartolo is survived by his wife, Virginia “Ginna” DeBartolo, son, Michael; daughter, Melissa; sisters, Theresa Kramer, Elizabeth DeBartolo; and brother, Frank. |
