Little League Congratulates International Board Member Mike Mussina on 20th WinLittle League Congratulates International Board Member Mike Mussina on 20th WinLittle League International congratulates New York Yankees pitcher Mike Mussina -- a Little League graduate and member of the Little League International Board of Directors -- on reaching yet another milestone in his outstanding Major League career. Today, Mr. Mussina won for the 20th time this season, defeating the Boston Red Sox in the final game of Major League Baseball’s regular season. Mr. Mussina, who played in Montoursville (Pa.) Little League and went on to earn a degree in economics from Stanford University in 1991, had won at least 18 games five other times. He has 270 lifetime wins and 2,813 strikeouts. This season, Mr. Mussina posted an earned run average of 3.37 after he allowed one earned run in 16 innings over his last three starts. His previous high for wins came in 1995 and 1996, when he won 19 games each year for the Baltimore Orioles.
