Little League Museum Hosts Fifth Annual Kid’s Day WILLIAMSPORT,
Pa. (Mar. 5, 2007) – Dugout, Little League’s mascot, the
Williamsport Crosscutters’ Rusty Roughcut and everyone’s furry “Red”
friend from “Sesame Street” were among the celebrity visitors to the
Fifth Annual Kid’s Day at the Peter J. McGovern League Museum. The 2007 event, sponsored by Jersey Shore State Bank, Davis Beverage, Little League Baseball and Softball, and Comcast welcomed families to visit the museum at no cost.
In the Mary McGovern Theatre, Dugout, and his celebrity friends read stories to the children, and Magician Richard Benninghoff thrilled those in attendance with his slight of hand. Chef Hosh from Susquehanna Health System had the visitors
enjoying healthy, homemade snacks and making special sandwiches,
while Chris Howard, a former catcher for the Seattle Mariners, and
head baseball coach for the Pennsylvania College of Technology
Wildcats, conducted a pitching and hitting clinic.
