SCOTT MILLER, HEATHER HOLLICK JOIN LITTLE LEAGUE STAFFWILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (Nov. 22, 2000) - Scott A. Miller of Cogan Station and Heather L. Hollick of Montoursville are the two newest additions to the Little League Baseball International Headquarters staff.
"We're very pleased that Heather and Scott are joining our headquarters family," Stephen D. Keener, President and Chief Executive Officer of Little League Baseball, said. "They both bring a wealth of knowledge and great enthusiasm, and make excellent additions to our staff." Mr. Miller is responsible for design and printing of more than 3 million pamphlets, brochures, newsletters and books printed annually by Little League. He served as writer/editor for Mansfield University's public relations office from 1989-99, where his work earned a national Gold Award from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), a Best in the Nation Award for editing from the College and Sports Information Directors Association, and an Apex Award from Communications Concepts, Inc., for World Wide Web design and editing. He was a reporter and editor for the Towanda (Pa.) Daily Review from 1986-89. Mr. Miller is a 1979 graduate of Williamsport Area High School and a 1983 graduate of Penn State University, where he earned a degree in journalism. He is a graduate of the former Memorial Little League (now Maynard-Memorial Little League) in Williamsport, and serves on the board of the Williamsport Recreation Commission Men's Tennis League. He is a member of Lodge 106 F&AM and the Williamsport Consistory A.A.S.R. He resides in Cogan Station with his wife, Tammy, and their two children.
In other recent personnel moves at Little League Headquarters: Patti J. English of Huntersville was hired as print shop supervisor early this year. She graduated from Penn College in 1994 and is a U.S. Air Force veteran (nuclear weapons specialist). She came to Little League from a position as a printer for ShopVac. Cara Glazer of Lewisburg was hired as an assistant in the publications and media relations department in June. Ms. Glazer graduated from Berkeley College in New York, and was working for The Market Street Group and the Lewisburg Hotel before being hired at Little League.
