Little League World Series to Have Presence at Welcome Centers Throughout Pennsylvania

The eight-foot tall replica of a Little League Baseball World Series ticket, produced by Phase One Marketing and Design of Williamsport, will be displayed in the lobbies of each Welcome Center.
This is the first year Little League International the Williamsport-Lycoming Chamber of Commerce, and the Tourism Office of the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development have collaborated to promote the Little League Baseball World Series in Williamsport.
“We are pleased to work with the tourism office of the Commonwealth to assist in the promotion of one of our state’s most popular events,” said Jud Rogers, senior marketing executive for Little League Baseball and Softball. “Further, we’re working together to inform visitors to the Little League Baseball World Series of the many recreational, and cultural opportunities to experience while traveling in Pennsylvania.”
The Little League Baseball World Series for 11-12-year-olds will be played in Williamsport, Aug. 20-29. Sixteen teams from around the world will take part.
Little League Baseball is the largest organized youth sports program in the world, with 2.7 million participants in all 50 states and more than 70 other countries.
