2004 Senior League Softball World Series General Information
The 2004 Series is scheduled for August 14-21. All the games are
played at the Lower Sussex Little League Complex in Sussex County, Del. The Senior League
Softball World Series is for girls, ages 14-16.

The Lower Sussex Little League Complex is located at the Pyle
Center in Sussex County, and will be site for the Senior League Softball
World Series for the first time. The main field seats about 700.
Tickets
Seating is on first-come, first-served basis. As always, admission is
free.
Lodging
Nearby hotel space, as you may expect, will likely become more limited
as the Series approaches. A listing of nearby lodging, as well as a

Travel
If you are arriving by car from the north on U.S. Route 113, take
Route 26 east toward Dagsboro, then take Route 20 southeast toward
Roxanna and follow the signs to the Little League park. If arriving
from the south on U.S. Route 113, take Route 54 east toward
Selbyville, then take Route 17 northwest toward Roxanna and follow the
signs to the Little League park. Parking is free. More travel

Refreshments/Food/Souvenirs
A wide variety of food and refreshments, as well as Senior League
Softball World Series Souvenirs are available. Pin trading is
encouraged in a special area set aside for this purpose. Fans are
encouraged to visit the Little League Sponsors area.
Safety
For the safety and enjoyment of all who attend the following
items/activities are prohibited in the Little League complex: alcohol,
large tarps, large containers, pets, solicitation, fireworks, laser
pointers, knives and weapons of any kind. In keeping with the Little
League tradition of teaching by example, all smoking and smokeless
tobacco use is prohibited on all Lower Sussex grounds, exitways and
rest rooms, as well as all buildings on the complex. All items brought
into the complex are subject to inspection. All blankets, chairs and
personal items of any kind must be removed daily.
Please also note that increased security measures may cause slight
delays at certain times, as you should plan to arrive early.
Miscellaneous
There will be other events during the seven day period of the Senior
League Softball World Series. For information on those events see the
Delaware District 3 web site noted above.
At this time, no television coverage of games is planned, although
Little League International continues to urge networks to carry the
games of all World Series tournaments. We do, however, expect
extensive media coverage from newspapers, radio stations and
television stations.
