Lodging
Nearby hotel space, as you may expect, becomes more limited as the
Series approaches. This time of year is the prime vacation/tourist
time for the greater Bangor area. It is strongly suggested you obtain
hotel/motel reservations early as most of the hotels and motels fill
up early. The official hotel of the World Series is the Holiday Inn at
404 Odlin Road in Bangor. The phone number for the Holiday Inn is
207-947-0101. Be sure to mention that you are making reservations for
the Senior League Baseball World Series to get the best available
rate.
For more information on accommodations, local attractions,
restaurants, etc., please call the Greater Bangor Region Chamber of

Travel
The Bangor area is served by Bangor International Airport with flights
arriving daily from most major connecting airports. If arriving by
car, while northbound on I-95, take exit 183 (Hammond Street), and
turn right at the end of the exit ramp onto Hammond Street. Go
four-tenths of a mile and turn left onto 13th Street. Mansfield
Stadium is at 107 13th Street.
Refreshments/Food/Souvenirs
A wide variety of food and refreshments is available, at both the
Mansfield Stadium concession stand and at the food court located next
to the Stadium. Senior League Baseball World Series souvenirs also are
available.
Safety
For the safety and enjoyment of all who attend, the following items or
activities are prohibited in the Mansfield Stadium Complex: alcohol,
large tarps, coolers, large bags or large containers, pets,
solicitation, fireworks, laser pointers, knives, and weapons of any
kind. In keeping with the Little League tradition of teaching by
example, all smoking and smokeless tobacco use is prohibited in the
Mansfield Stadium stands, exit ways and rest rooms, as well as Hayford
Park (City of Bangor ordinance). All items brought into the complex
are subject to inspection. All blankets, chairs and personal items of
any kind must be removed daily.

delays at certain times, so you should plan to arrive early.
Miscellaneous
The Senior League Baseball World Series includes a special Awards
Banquet on the Friday night of the World Series during which players,
teams, and umpires receive participation awards. Admission to the
banquet is by ticket only, and parents are invited to purchase tickets
for a small fee, but space at the banquet is very limited. If parents
wish to attend, they will need to purchase their Awards Banquet
tickets by Wednesday Aug. 18, 2004, at the Souvenir Stand.
At this time, no television coverage of games is planned, although
Little League International continues to urge networks to carry the
games of all World Series tournaments. We do, however, expect
extensive media coverage from newspapers, radio stations and
television stations.
