Little League Expresses Condolences for Tsunami Victims, Supports Relief Efforts

Little League International expresses deep sympathy for the victims of the tsunami in South Asia, and offers its hopeful wishes and prayers for the families in the countries affected.

Little League International urges its volunteers and other supporters of our program to help sustain the recovery by visiting www.usafreedomcorps.gov and giving generously to one of the humanitarian organizations that are conducting relief efforts.

Several of the countries in which lives were lost have had Little League charters over the years, including India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. A team from Jakarta, Indonesia, narrowly missed a trip to the Little League Baseball World Series this past summer when it fell 4-3 to Saipan Little League (Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands) in the Pacific Region championship game.
