Little League Mourns the Passing of Two Longtime VolunteersJoe Graziano, New Jersey State Little League DirectorJoseph J. Graziano, New Jersey Little League Director, passed away on Dec. 3. He was 85. A native of North Bergen, N.J., Mr. Graziano became a Little League volunteer in 1950, and was appointed as New Jersey Little League Director when the position was created in 1959. He served as a district administrator from 1956 to 1959. The Englewood Cliffs, N.J., resident attended the first Little League Baseball Congress in 1956, and served on the Little League International Advisory Council from 1968 to 1988. He also volunteered time to various local Little League tournaments, receiving meritorious awards from Ocean Township (N.J.) Little League and North Bergen Little League, while also being a recipient of the Little League Congressional Service Award. Mr.Graziano was preceded earlier this year in death by his wife, Josephine, and is survived by his son, Paul, who has volunteered at the Little League Baseball World Series, in Williamsport, Pa., for many years, serving as a press box announcer.
