Peter J. McGovern Little League Museum To Host Monster Mash Baseball Bash WILLIAMSPORT,
Pa. (Sept. 29, 2006) – The Peter J. McGovern Little League Museum, 525
Route 15 Highway, South Williamsport, will host a night of games,
crafts, stories and haunted fun from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct.
21.Proceeds from second annual Monster Mash Baseball Bash, sponsored by Lycoming College’s Alpha Xi Delta sorority, will benefit the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Dugout, Little League’s mascot, and McGruff, the Crime Dog, sponsored by the South Williamsport Borough Police, will be on hand for photos and autographs. Children are encouraged to come dressed in costume. Prizes will be awarded in several categories. Children 13 and under and their parents are invited. The admission fee is $3 per child, with parents and children 2 and under admitted free. Little League Baseball and Softball is the world’s largest organized youth sports program, with nearly 2.7 million players and 1 million adult volunteers in every U.S. state and scores of other countries. |
