Forfeits of Games During the Regular Season

NOTE: These policies apply only to Regular Season play. They do not apply to any level of the International Tournament. This document was produced on Nov. 16, 2006. For any updates (which supersede this document), see the current issue of the Rules and Regulations.

The decision to forfeit a Regular Season game rests entirely with the local Little League board of directors.

This means that a District Administrator, Tournament Director, or Regional Director, does not have the authority to rule a forfeit in Regular Season play in a local Little League. Requests for such action are entirely under the jurisdiction of the local Little League board of directors.

NOTE: For some Special Games play (such as a TOC, or “Tournament of Champions”), decisions on forfeits are under the jurisdiction of the District Administrator or District Staff.
