New Era Enhances Little League® Relationship with Licensing Agreement

Brand secures headwear licensing and distribution rights

New Era, the official and exclusive on-field cap of the Little League® World Series and official sponsor of Little League Baseball and Softball is proud to announce the renewal of its long-term sponsorship agreement with the iconic youth program. In additional to the extension of its exclusive on-field rights and sponsorship, the new agreement grants licensing and retail distribution rights, providing additional ways for fans to pick up Little League headwear.

“For years New Era has provided the talented athletes of the Little League World Series the best baseball caps in the world,” said Tony DeSimone, New Era Cap Director of Baseball. “We’re now excited to bring legions of fans all around the world the same product in support of this legendary event.”

The two organizations began their partnership in 2006, providing headwear for all the players in the nine Little League World Series Tournaments and collectible headwear for fans from Little League retail locations. The new licensing agreement extends the relationship through 2020 and provides opportunities for fans to purchase Little League caps, such as the 59FIFTY® fitted cap, 9FIFTY® snapback cap and 39THIRTY® stretch fit cap, at their favorite headwear retailers in the United States and internationally.

We are excited to continue to extend the partnership in new ways and still provide all participants in the Little League World Series events including the other Little League division championship events outside of Williamsport, Pa, with products from New Era.”

The retail license component of the relationship will be managed by Little League’s licensing agency, Fermata Partners. Little League and Fermata will support New Era’s efforts to market and sell, among other designs, replicas of the iconic on-field headwear that is worn in the Little League Baseball® World Series by teams representing each U.S. and International region. All sixteen region caps will be available for fans at select LIDS retail stores, NewEraCap.com, and LittleLeagueStore.net.
