West pounded Puerto Rico on Monday 11-4 at Max Baer Field in seven innings.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the third, with four lead changes.

West finally managed to grab the lead after a strong third inning. West went up for good on a three-run home run by Dustin Bermudez off Braulio Flores, scoring Alex Ramos and Jesus Robles.

Bermudez racked up three RBIs on two hits for West.

Leonardo Lizardi was hot from the plate for Puerto Rico. Lizardi went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the second and seventh innings.
