Little League® mascot, Dugout, and popular children’s book character, Curious George, from PBS Kids, will be on hand to great WVIA Clubhouse Members and their families at the newly reopened World of Little League®: Peter J. McGovern Museum and Official Store in South Williamsport, Pa., on Saturday, Nov. 16.

The World of Little League will be open to the public on Saturday, Nov. 16 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and admission will be free for all WVIA Clubhouse Members and their families. Dugout and Curious George will make appearances between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., as part of a WVIA Clubhouse event. Members must present their membership card to get their free admissions. People without cards may join WVIA or pay the price of regular admission, which is $2 for youth, $5 for adults between the ages of 13 and 61 and $3 for seniors who are 62 or older.

Parents and children get free admissions based upon their WVIA membership level. The Passport 2 Fun is not valid for this event.

In addition to the interactive experiences within the museum, visitors will also be able to enjoy Story Time with Debby the Clubhouse Mom and arts and crafts activities. The World of Little League reopened in June 2013 after undergoing a $4.3 million renovation. Of the nearly 300 items presented in the World of Little League, 200 of them have never been on display before.

Visitors to the museum will also be able to see some of the earliest Little League artifacts from the personal collection of the program’s founder, Carl E. Stotz; a one-of-a-kind, complete uniform worn by Babe Ruth and many other culturally significant items that tell the story of Little League. Families will also be able to interact with the 7,000 local Little Leagues around the world through the Global Connections Touch Table presented by ACTIVE Network, time themselves running from home plate to first base, catch a fastball from Little League International Board of Directors Member and former MLB pitcher, Mike Mussina, and more.

The World of Little League: Peter J. McGovern Museum and Official Store is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. For more information, visit LeagueMuseum.org or follow the World of Little League on Facebook (facebook.com/LittleLeagueMuseum).
