- Little League® Jake Hardison Memorial Challenger Jamboree Comes to Norfolk, VirginiaLittle League® Baseball and Softball will hold the inaugural Jake Hardison Memorial Challenger Jamboree at the Azalea Little League Complex in Norfolk, Va., from May 10-12. More than 1,000 children with developmental and physical challenges from 59 teams are expected to participate in this year. The teams are coming to Norfolk from Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia.
- A Classic Combination: Little Leaguers invited to participate in Cooperstown Game Day ParadeThe National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum needs Little Leaguers to be a part of a Memorial Day celebration. The Hall of Fame is looking for area Little League® teams to march in the Cooperstown Game Day Parade on Saturday, May 25 and offering any regional Little Leaguer® who participates in the parade a free ticket to attend the Hall of Fame Classic, immediately after the parade, in Cooperstown, N.Y.
- Umpires Selected for Nine Little League World SeriesLittle League Baseball and Softball announced today the 115 umpires who will be working the nine Little League World Series this summer. The Little League World Series schedule kicks off with the Big League Baseball World Series in Easley, S.C. on July 24 and ends with the Little League Baseball World Series Championship Game in South Williamsport, Pa. on August 25.

- Little League Urban Initiative Jamboree Comes to Tampa, FloridaLittle League Baseball and Softball will hold its Urban Initiative Florida State Jamboree at the Larry Sanders Sports Complex in Tampa, Fla., from May 2-5. One of nine Urban Initiative Jamborees being held throughout the United States this spring, participants in the Florida State Jamboree will take part in a weekend of games and other special events at no cost to their local league.
- Little League Mourns the Loss of Boston Marathon Bombing Victim and Little Leaguer, Martin RichardIt is with great sadness that the entire Little League community mourns the loss of Martin Richard, 8, a victim of the Boston Marathon bombing. Martin was a member of the Savin Hill Little League in Dorchester, Mass.
- World of Little League to Feature Items from Carl E. Stotz CollectionSeventy-five years ago, during the summer of 1938, Williamsport resident Carl E. Stotz hit upon an idea that would become the world’s largest and most respected organized youth sports program. The next year, on June 6, 1939, the first Little League game was played. Only three teams existed at that time, and nobody could know how if the program would survive past its first year.

- Honda Donation Helps Preserve Baseball and Softball Season for Staten Island Little LeagueHonda, the official vehicle sponsor of Little League® and national sponsor since 1996, donated $50,000 to the Staten Island Little League to help rebuild their baseball facilities, which were severely impacted by Hurricane Sandy. With Honda’s donation, storm ravaged fields, bleachers and dugouts will be repaired in time for the league’s 32-team opening day on April 20th.

- First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania Grants $300,000 to Little League Baseball from the Impact FundSOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (Feb. 6, 2013) – The First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania (FCFP) is proud to grant $300,000 to Little League Baseball (Little League) through the Williamsport Lycoming Impact Fund. Since its creation in 2002, the Impact Fund has granted $1,225,000. The Fund was established to accumulate unrestricted funds for programs and projects with a high community impact.
