Little League Softball World Series Begins Thursday
2012 Little League Softball World Series Results/Statistics
The 2012 Little League Softball World Series, featuring 10 teams from around the world, begins Thursday with a game at 10:30 a.m. The World Series is played in Portland, Ore.
The teams are split into two pools, both pools a mixture of U.S. and International teams. The top two teams in each pool advance to the semifinals on Aug. 14.

The Little League Softball World Series for players, ages 11 and 12, will be played Aug. 9-15. On Tuesday, Aug. 14, the Little League Softball World Series semifinal games will be televised live on ESPN2 at 7 and 9:30 p.m. Eastern U.S. Time. The Championship game will be televised live the following evening at 10 p.m. on ESPN2.
