Trevor Smith Adds a Game-Winning Grand Slam to His Inspirational Story

In Greer S.C., Northwood Little Leaguer Trevor Smith came to bat in the bottom of the sixth inning with two outs, the bases loaded and his team, the Brewers, trailing the undefeated Giants, 1-0. Trevor, 12,  hit a game-winning grand slam, which is certainly memorable for any child. What makes the feat amazing is that many years earlier, Trevor was born several weeks premature and with a club right foot. His left foot also did not develop properly, and required amputation below the knee. Despite the physical and life-threatening setbacks during his infant years, Trevor has overcome.
