Little Leaguer Newsletter Takes on a New Look

The Little Leaguer, Little League Baseball and Softball’s monthly electronic newsletter, has received a makeover compliments of the Graphics and Information Services Departments at Little League International.

Beginning with this edition (May 2010), the Little Leaguer will feature a new masthead at the top of the page and specific tab-influenced boxes that are colored to provide a “snapshot” of different happenings throughout Little League.

“This new format provides an organized and easy-to-read flow of information,” Chris Downs, Little League International’s Director of Publicity and Editor of the Little Leaguer, said. “The intent for this new layout is to take advantage of a digital-friendly look that uses colors to identify the types of stories being presented to our readers. This compartmentalized approach is expected to make for a quick review of the news for each month.”

Readers will find that a certain color will correspond with a specific type of story.

All News items are tabbed in red, while Sponsor News is tabbed in green. Features are tabbed in yellow, The ASAP (A Safety Awareness Program) tab is purple, Operations and Education News is light blue and “The Chatter’s Box: News and Notes from Williamsport,” is dark blue. Additional color tabs may be added as needed.

This year’s Little Leaguer newsletter is the 28th edition and the May issue is the fifth of 2010.
