West University Little League in Houston, Texas was recently selected as a 2010 Double-Goal Coach Award winner by the Positive Coaching Alliance.

As any sports parent and many youth athletes will tell you, it's not easy to find a great coach. That's part of the reason the Positive Coaching Alliance exists: to help develop great youth sports coaches.

The PCA does that daily in its live and online workshops through instruction and interaction. Annually, through inspiration, PCA finds coaches who are already great, and honors them with PCA's Double-Goal Coach Award®, while holding those coaches up as examples for more coaches to emulate.

This year, PCA honored 20 coaches in a variety of sports. Each one embodies the Double-Goal Coaching philosophy that couples winning with teaching life lessons through sports.

Bob McLamb accepted the award on behalf of West University Little League.
