Local Little Leagues Can Support Haiti Earthquake Recovery

A number of local Little Leagues have inquired regarding support for the relief efforts in Haiti, as a result of the devastating earthquake there.

Some have asked about donating to Little Leagues in Haiti. However, there are currently no active local Little League programs there. Nevertheless, Little League International encourages its volunteers and leagues to donate to reputable and worthy relief organizations, if they are able to, because of the level of great destruction and suffering in Haiti.

As the only youth sports program with a Federal Charter of Incorporation, we suggest donations be sent to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund, which was established – at the request of U.S. President Barack Obama – by former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush.

Please visit the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund web site at http://clintonbushhaitifund.org/index.php for complete information on how to donate.
