Little League International Mourns the Passing of Sterling Grant, Former New Mexico District 2 Administrator

Sterling Grant, who served as New Mexico District 2 Administrator for 45 years, passed away on Monday. He was 87.

Mr. Grant served in the United States Army’s 7th Cavalry Division during World War II (1939-1945). After the war, he was a toll technician for Mountain Bell Telephone, a job which brought him to Roswell, N.M., in 1945.  He retired from Mountain Bell in 1985.

A native of Townsend, Okla., Mr. Grant was a Little League coach and manager in Roswell prior to his election as District Administrator.

Mr. Grant is survived by his wife of 66 years, Norma, one brother, four sons, a daughter, 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
