Youth Baseball Teams to be Celebrated at Inaugural Baseball Hall of Fame Classic in Cooperstown
Youth baseball teams will have a chance to be a part of baseball history in Cooperstown, N.Y., this Father’s Day Weekend, as the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum will salute youth baseball players prior to the start of the 2009 Baseball Hall of Fame Classic on Sunday, June 21, with the Salute to Youth Baseball Parade inside Doubleday Field.
The Baseball Hall of Fame Classic was created by the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum and the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association. The parade will give players a chance to walk on the field that was once occupied by baseball’s greatest stars, such as Babe Ruth, Ted Williams, Hank Aaron and Cal Ripken Jr.
Youth baseball teams can participate in the parade by purchasing a minimum of 10 Classic tickets, priced at $12.50 each. All juniors 12-and-under in the group will receive a free admission ticket to the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. Every youth baseball player must have a game ticket in order to march in the parade. This special offer is available by placing a group game ticket order at 888-HALL-OF-FAME (888-425-5633), Ext. 2, Monday- Friday, from 9 a.m.-to-5 p.m. The offer is valid while ticket quantities remain. All orders must be placed by May 31
