Nominations Are Now Being Accepted for the 2009 Little League International Awards Program

With the 2009 Little League season in full swing, now is the time to consider recognizing individuals for their commitment to the Little League program.

Each district and league has individuals who should be recognized for their commitment and participation in the Little League program. By participating in the Awards Program you help demonstrate the benefits and values of volunteerism, family and sportsmanship.

June 1 is the nomination submission deadline for the 2009 Little League Awards Program. The forms for the awards are available on the “ASAP/Leagues Supply” CD or can be downloaded from the Little League website, at: www.littleleague.org/Learn_More/awards.htm.

The national recipients of each award and a guest will be guests of Little League International at the 2009 Little League Baseball World Series. The recipients will be provided with round-trip transportation and hotel accommodations. These individuals will be honored at the annual Awards Breakfast and during pre-game ceremonies.

Completed nomination forms are to be sent directly to Little League International in Williamsport, Pa., for your nominee to be considered for national recognition. If you have any questions regarding the awards program, please contact Scott Rosenberg, Little league International’s Director of Public Relations, at: srosenberg@LittleLeague.org.
