Little League Magazine to be Mailed Soon
The 2009 edition of Little League Magazine (Presented by Major League Baseball) will begin mailing later this month. The newest issue – with Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Carl Crawford on the cover – is packed with great stories, colorful photos, games, and tips from the pros in both baseball and softball.
This year Little League International is asking for help from managers to get the magazine in the hands of Little League families. In years past, Little League Magazine has been mailed directly to Little League participants. In 2009 we are asking team managers to distribute one magazine to each member of his or her team.
As in previous years, the magazine is free – yet another benefit of belonging to the world’s largest and most respected youth sports organization.
Little League Magazine will be shipped to the addresses of those managers in leagues that have submitted rosters electronically (as of January 28, 2009) to Little League International. If the league has not submitted rosters for 2009, then the rosters from 2008 will be used, if submitted electronically. A limited number of magazines may be ordered after May 1 to ship only to the Presidents of local leagues that have not submitted rosters electronically, or for the President to give to those managers/teams that might be missed because the person was not listed as a manager on the 2008 roster.
When managers in the local league receive the package of 20 magazines, they should bring them to the next game or practice to hand out to the team. The extra copies can be given out to additional siblings, parents and fans or distributed at the concession stand.
