2007 Junior League Baseball World Series General Information
The Junior League Baseball World Series has been played in Heritage Park every year since 1981. Bleacher seating between home and first base and third base is approximately 2,000. The hillside terraces offer excellent viewing, and can accommodate up to 3,000 more fans.
Admission is $4 per car per day, or $7 per car for the entire week. Parking is included in these fees. The only ticket provided is sold for $7 per car for the entire week, which is available upon entry. If you plan to watch the games from the terraced hills, you may want to bring a blanket and/or lawn chairs.
Ample hotel space within one to three miles is available. Additional hotel space is available at the Detroit Metropolitan Airport located in neighboring Romulus, Mich., which is about six miles from the Series site. For more information, please contact the City of Taylor at www.cityoftaylor.com.
For all of your hotel needs, we encourage you to use "Choice Hotels," the Official Hotel Partner of Little League Baseball and Softball. To make reservations, contact the Choice Sports Desk at 877-240-AWAY (2929) and use Discount Code 00211120. By using that Discount Code you will SAVE at least 15 percent off your hotel rooms and a portion of the proceeds will go back to Little League Baseball and Softball. The Sports Desk can also be contacted via fax at 877-249-AWAY (2929).
If you are arriving by car, simply exit I-94 at Telegraph Road and go south to Goddard, then east to Pardee. Or, exit I-75 at Northline Road and go west to Pardee Road. During Tournament week, a customized bus route has stops at the various hotels, restaurants and other points of interest. (Note: The hotels at the airport are not on the bus routes.)
A wide variety of food and refreshments is available, and Junior League Baseball World Series Souvenirs also are available. Pin Trading is encouraged in a special area set aside for this purpose.
The championship game of the Junior League Baseball World Series is scheduled to be televised nationally on Saturday, Aug. 18 at 5 p.m. (ET) on ESPNU and on Wednesday, Aug. 29 at 2 p.m. (ET) on ESPN2 (tape-delayed basis). At this time, no other television coverage of games is planned, although Little League International continues to urge networks to carry the games of all World Series tournaments. We also expect extensive media coverage from newspapers, radio stations and television stations.
In keeping with the Little League tradition, alcohol is prohibited in the Little League Complex. All blankets, chairs and personal items of any kind must be removed daily. Have an enjoyable stay in Taylor, and please patronize our businesses.
