Little League volunteers from around the nation entered. The three winning photographs are on display at the Peter J. McGovern Little League Museum, and will be printed in the Little Leaguer newsletter this fall, mailed to all Little Leagues.

Voting is conducted by part- and full-time employees at Little League Baseball International in Williamsport. Each of the winning photos can be viewed on the Internet at Little League’s Website: www.littleleague.org.

First place went to Craig Dahlberg, publications director for Mira Mesa West Little League of San Diego, Calif., whose photo of a John “J.D.” Hendrick hitting a line drive to center garnered the most votes.

The second place photo was taken by Kelly Templin, team mom at University Little League in Fort Worth, Texas, of her son, Ty, a pitcher.

Third place belongs to Karen R. Wilburn, coach's wife and team mom at Enon Little League in Springfield, Ohio, of pitcher Collin Millar.

Little League Baseball is the largest organized youth sports program in the world, with nearly 3 million participants in all 50 states and 104 other countries.
