Little League Honor Roll Created

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (Oct. 20, 2003) – Chancellor Publications of Miami Shores, Fla., today launched the inaugural edition of the Little League Honor Roll.

The book was created to acknowledge and honor 11- and 12-year-old players who have attained “Major League” status within the Little League Baseball Division. It is approved by Little League Baseball, Incorporated.

In order for information on a player to appear in the book, parents must fill out and return a “Player Data Form” by a specified deadline.

The initial mailing will go to the homes of approximately 50,000 11- and 12-year-old Little Leaguers for whom Little League has current address information. If the response is acceptable the mailing will continue to homes of other 11- and 12-year-old players.

This is a pilot project for the baseball program only. If it proves successful, a softball honor roll may be added.

Chancellor Publications, Inc. (CPI) has been publishing sports oriented books since 1998, including annual editions of “ Who’s Who in Youth League Baseball,” “Who’s Who in Youth League Softball,” “Who’s Who in USA High School Sports,” and Who’s Who in the National Senior Games Association. Chancellor Publications is a member of the “National Council of Youth Sports” and the “Better Business Bureau of Southeast Florida.”

There is no cost or obligation to have a player included in the publication. The only requirement for a player to be included is for the Athlete Data Form to be completed and returned to Chancellor Publications along with the parent(s) consent to have the player included in it.

A book may be ordered for the price of $45.95 (plus shipping) and that will ensure that the player receives a book with his or her profile and photograph included. If the purchaser does not wish to include a photograph but still wishes to purchase a book, the price remains $45.95 (plus shipping).

If a parent wishes to include the player’s profile and photograph in the book, but they do not want to buy the book, the cost is $10. There is no charge for including only a profile in the book.

Year-book type, passport size photographs are preferred. Players should be in a baseball uniform, but that is optional.
