Little League Foundation Trustee John Grisham Donates $5 Million to Hurricane Recovery Effort

The fund is being used primarily to help Mississippians recover from the loss of their homes and possessions. All donations to the Rebuilding the Coast Fund are being used to assist those in need. No administrative costs will be taken out.

Mr. Grisham, who played Little League in Southhaven, Miss., is one of the world’s best-selling authors, with several of his novels making it to the big screen. His original screenplay “Mickey” was released in theaters in 2003, with most of the final scenes filmed at Little League International in Williamsport, Pa. He was elected to the Little League Foundation on May 17, 2005.
Mr. and Mrs. Grisham, who divide their time between homes in Oxford, Miss., and Charlottesville, Va., also helped co-chair the recent “Mississippi Rising” benefit concert.
