Mexico, Panama Combine for 30 New Little League Charters

Eighty-four brand new leagues were chartered in Little League Baseball and Softball during the last month through May 20, including 19 in Mexico and 11 in Panama.

There also were eight new leagues in Ukraine, four in Canada, three in Puerto Rico, three in the Dominican Republic, two in Colombia, two in Kenya, and one each in Burkina Faso, Costa Rica, Cayman Islands, the Netherlands, and Poland.

In the U.S., there were 27 new leagues, four of which were in Texas. Two of those new Texas leagues were in District 37 (District Administrator Jean Everett).

Little League also bid a fond farewell to seven District Administrator in the last month. They are (with state or country and district number): Michael Peacock (Maine 5), David Gallagher (Pennsylvania 28), Kevin McBride (Georgia 9), James McFadyen (Virginia 12), Charles Fulgenzi (New Mexico 4), David Millsap (Texas 4), Terry Thigpen (Texas 33).

There were six new district administrators. Little League welcomes Kerry Bonney (Maine 5), Dave Trent (Pennsylvania 28), Fred Corbett (Virginia 12), Johnny Sisneros (New Mexico 4), A. J. Turner (Texas 4), Hardy L. Nevill (Texas 33).
