Nine Uganda Leagues Among Dozens of New Charters

Twenty-nine brand new leagues were chartered in Little League Baseball and Softball during the last month (as of Feb. 25), with nine of them in the Eastern Africa nation of Uganda, 15 in the continental U.S., two in Puerto Rico, and one each in Aruba, Bahamas, and Poland. You can see the list of all the new leagues here.

Little League also bid a fond farewell to one retired District Administrator in the last month: Tammie Smith of Arizona District 9.

There were two new District Administrators as well. Little League welcomes David Hicks (Oregon District 3; Baker, Ore.) and Terry Cridland (Arizona District 9; Fort Mojave, Ariz.). Ms. Cridland was re-elected DA after serving 12 years previously.
