Mike Ludwikowski of Williamsport, Pa., has volunteered as athletic trainer for the Little League Baseball World Series in Williamsport, Pa., since 1999.

After completing his undergraduate studies at East Stroudsburg (Pa.) University in 1981, with a bachelor’s degree in biology and athletic training, Mike went on to attain a master’s degree in student personnel administration from Shippensburg (Pa.) University in 1985.

Mike worked professionally in the athletic training field for several years before joining the Susquehanna Health System’s Sports Medicine Center based in Williamsport. He is in his 15th year as coordinator of outreach athletic training services at the center.

During the Little League Baseball World Series, Mike is responsible for monitoring the physical health of the players, coaches and umpires. Mike and his staff evaluate medical forms, meet with the World Series participants to determine any pre-existing conditions, and provide treatment and rehabilitation to the participants throughout the 10-day tournament.

Mike is a native of Moosic, Pa. He is a volunteer assistant coach in Williamsport’s Brandon Little League. He and his wife, Joanne, have three children, Emily (12), Davidson (10) and Erica (6).
