Little League extends Partnership With Active Network Through 2007

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (Jan. 13, 2005) – Active Network, Inc., the official internet provider for Little League Baseball and Softball, has extended its partnership through 2007, it was announced today by Stephen D. Keener, Little League president and chief executive officer.

In 1999, Active Network, Inc., established, and has maintained, the Little League Network. Streamlining administration at every level of the Little League program, the Little League Network delivers on-line services that enhance participation, and is a core resource for all Little League volunteers and participants.

“Web services from Active Network have become an important part of the community Little League experience and have helped us extend the benefits of this technology to thousands of Little Leagues worldwide,” said Mr. Keener. “I encourage all of our members to take advantage of this innovative relationship and utilize these valuable tools and services for the efficient operation of the local Little League.”

The Little League Network offers a data center that electronically links league and district officials to Little League International. Services provided by the Little League Network, include, but are not limited to, integrated on-line registration, charter information, and instruction on building local league web sites.

During the partnership, more than 100,000 teams have become part of the Little League Network, with 95 percent of all Little League districts, and 4,000 leagues, managing their own official web sites.
