Ace Hardware Invites Little Leagues To Participate in ‘Fields for the Future’ Program

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (Nov. 1, 2005) – Ace Hardware is teaming up with Little League Baseball and Softball in Williamsport, Pa., for the second consecutive year to pitch in and fix up Little League fields through the Ace Hardware Little League “Fields for the Future” Program.

Ace Hardware is inviting local leagues to nominate a Little League field in their community that is in need of a field makeover. Ace Hardware will accept nominees throughout Nov. 30, 2005. One field will be selected from each of the Little League’s five regions in the U.S (Central, East, South, Southwest and West).

Winning locations will receive $2,500 worth of Ace product and a day’s work from Ace’s “Helpful Hardware Man” Lou Manfredini and the “Lou Crew” to beautify and repair the fields. In addition, Ace will donate $2,500 worth of Ace gift cards to each of the winning leagues.

Little League Baseball and Softball is the world’s largest organized youth sports program, with nearly 2.7 million players and 1 million adult volunteers in every U.S. state and scores of other countries.
