Nick Caringi Little League International Director of Operations
Nick Caringi of Williamsport, Pa., has been a Little League employee for 10 years and a Little League volunteer for nearly 20 years.
Following graduation from Williamsport Area High School in 1986, Nick attended St. Bonaventure University (Olean, N.Y.) and graduated in 1990 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education.
Nick was a pitcher at St. Bonaventure, and during one year of graduate school, he served as the university’s pitching instructor. Professionally, he was employed as an elementary teacher for three years, before joining Little League Baseball and Softball in 1996 as assistant director at the Eastern Region Headquarters in Bristol, Conn. He came to work at Little League International in 1998 as assistant director of regional operations. In 2005, he assumed the title of director of operations.
Nick is responsible for the training and education of volunteers, and assists in the coordination of operations at Little League International’s five regional centers in the United States and four abroad. As part of these responsibilities, he assists with coordination of the annual World Series tournaments in eight divisions of baseball and softball. Nick also is a member of Little League International’s Charter, Tournament and Rules Committees, and oversees Little League’s summer camp program.
During his years as a Little League employee, Nick has served as a Little League camp coach, instructor, assistant director and director.
Nick is a native of Williamsport, where he played in the Brandon Little League. He and his wife, Kristin, have a daughter, Kaitlin (9), and a son, Kyle (6).
