Bank of America Goes to Bat for Little League
Little League coaches will receive a special referral kit from their league administrator containing details about the program and referral forms. The league will receive a $25 donation for each referred person who opens a Bank of America checking account.
"We're proud to be the Official Bank of Little League and partner with an organization dedicated to making the baseball diamond a great place to play, learn and grow," said Ray Bednar, Bank of America sports marketing executive. "Through our support of Little League Baseball, we're committed to growing America's game through education and community programs, to honoring achievements both on and off the field, to transforming our communities into places where dreams do come true."
New customers must have a referral form from the league and donations will arrive within 90 days after the referred customer's account is opened. The league does not need to have a Bank of America account.
This is the same customer-referral program Bank of America offers to individuals. In this case, the $25 for the referral goes to their Little League. Any new checking customer receives $25 and can get an extra $10 by opening any Bank of America savings account at the same time, for a total of up to $35. New customers also can choose to donate their payment to the referring league. That means the league can potentially receive up to $60 for each new customer referred.
