• Challenger Division Teams Selected for Little League Baseball World Series SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (Feb. 15, 2011) – The two leagues that will be sending their Challenger Division programs to the Little League Baseball World Series have been selected. Representing more than 30,000 Challenger players and more than 900 leagues worldwide will be Lafayette (La.) Little League and Baugo Little League from Mishawaka, Ind.

• Fourth Annual World Challenger Jamboree Set for Spring 2009 WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (Jan. 30, 2009) – Virginia District 8 will host the fourth annual “Challenger Little League Baseball World Jamboree” May 8-10, 2009 at the Azalea Little League Complex in Norfolk, Va. The jamboree will include games, tours, picnics and other special events.
• Fifth Annual Western Region Challenger Jamboree Coming to Dublin, Calif. WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (April 23, 2009) – Local Little League administrators, parents and special needs children will gather in Dublin, Calif., on May 22-24, 2009 to participate in the fifth annual Western Region Challenger Jamboree. This Little League event is one of several to be hosted in the coming months by Little League Baseball and Softball at various locations across the country.
• Little League Challenger Division Players Participate In MLB All-Star Week Event SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (July 23, 2009) – Hillsboro (Mo.) R-3 Little League was invited to participate in the 2009 Challenger Champions Game at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, as part of the Major League Baseball All-Star Week festivities.
• Marilyn Wittstock Is 2009 Little League Challenger Award Winner SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (Aug. 5, 2009) – Marilyn Wittstock of Washington Township, Mich., has volunteered in the Clinton Valley Little League and Michigan District 6 for more than 20 years. During the past three years, she raised more than $140,000 through donations and fundraising events in support of the Michigan District 6 Challenger Division to build a playing field specifically designed for disabled children.
• Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Host Fourth Annual Little League Challenger Division Classic ANAHEIM, Calif. (Nov. 13, 2009) – More than 600 Little League Challenger Division participants gathered at Angels Stadium in Anaheim, Calif., home of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, to participate in the Fourth Annual Bank of America Orange County Little League Challenger Division Classic.

• Georgia’s Peachtree City Little League Hosts First Challenger Division State Jamboree SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (June 2, 2011) – There is a first time for everything, and as the volunteers and participants at the inaugural Georgia State Little League Challenger Jamboree experienced, special moments and memories are what you make of them whenever they come.
• Rio Vista Little League Challenger Division to Participate in 2011 MLB All-Star Weekend Events SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (June 15, 2011) - For the fourth consecutive year, teams from the Little League Challenger Division will participate in an exhibition game during Major League Baseball’s All-Star Weekend. This year’s game will be played at Chase Field, home of the Arizona Diamondbacks, on July 8, 2011.
• Thomas Taycher Is Little League’s 2011 Challenger Award Winner SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (July 21, 2011) – Thomas Taycher and his family have been involved with programs for people, mostly children, with disabilities for many years. Their participation with disability related programs led to the call that began Mr. Taycher’s long association with Little League’s Challenger Division.
• Challenger Exhibition Game at Little League Baseball World Series to be Televised Live by WVIA SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (Aug. 15, 2011) - More than a half-century ago, games played at the Little League Baseball World Series were first televised.
• Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Host Sixth Annual Little League Orange County Challenger Classic SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa., (Nov. 9, 2011) - More than 40 Little League Challenger Division teams gathered at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif., home of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, to participate in the Sixth Annual Bank of America Orange County Little League Challenger Division Classic.

(March 5, 2012) – The two leagues that will be sending their Challenger Division programs to the 2012 Little League Baseball World Series have been selected. Representing more than 30,000 Challenger players and 900 leagues worldwide will be Southwest Forsyth Little League from Clemmons, N.C., and Rhode Island District 2 Challenger from Portsmouth, R.I.
• Little League Mourns Passing of Challenger Division Pioneer and Little League Volunteer Jake Hardison SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (March 14, 2012) - Little League International mourns the passing today of Jake Hardison of Virginia, a dedicated Little League volunteer and an integral person in the development of the Little League Challenger program. Mr. Hardison was 85 years old.
