Bank of America Steps Up to the Plate for
Little League With New Fundraising Initiative
Program Helps Fans Link Their Financial Services Needs to Little
League Baseball and Softball
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (April 9, 2007) – Fans of America’s national
pastime and their friends will get the opportunity to raise money
for Little League this season, while earning a “signing bonus” for
themselves when they participate in a unique program developed by
Bank of America, the official Bank of Little League Baseball and
Softball.
Through the Bank of America Little League Referral Program, when
Little Leagues throughout the United States refer parents, family
and friends to become a new Bank of America personal checking
customer, the bank will donate $25 to the league that made the
referral and give the new customer a $25 bonus.
In addition, the new customer can earn up to $25 more by opening a
regular savings account at the same time they open a new non-student
personal-checking account; and, earn an additional $10 for
themselves and for the league when they apply and are approved for
any MLB Extra Bases™ MasterCard®.
Overall, the new customer can earn up to $60 in total rewards and
their local league can earn up to $35. The new customer may also
elect to donate their entire bonus to the local league, meaning the
neighborhood league can earn up to $95 for each new checking
customer referred.
Little League organizations interested in participating in the
program, or obtaining a referral form can visit

“This program gives us the opportunity to support Little League
Baseball and Softball and the quality of life in the hundreds of
communities and neighborhoods we serve,” Landrum Fisher, deposits
sales and marketing executive for Bank of America, said. “It’s also
a chance to reward our customers and help them establish a
relationship with the Little League program in their community.”
“The success of Little League Baseball and Softball rests on the
support and commitment of local communities,” Stephen Keener,
president and chief executive officer of Little League Baseball and
Softball, said. “This program and our relationship with Bank of
America have created a rare opportunity for a national effort to
deliver a very tangible, local benefit. In short, everybody — kids,
communities and consumers — wins.”
With a proud and longstanding association with baseball that dates
back more than 130 years, Bank of America has strived to create
programs that build stronger, more vibrant communities, from the
national level with Major League Baseball to the local level with
Minor League Baseball and Little League Baseball and Softball. The
Bank of America Little League Referral program is just one way the
bank is working to strengthen the fabric of the communities where
its customers and associates live, work, play and raise families.
As the Official Bank of Baseball™, Bank of America has national
sponsorship agreements with the four leading organizations that
represent America’s national pastime — Major League Baseball®, Minor
