Little League E-Rules for 2008 Now
Available
The 2008 version of Little League’s electronic rules product
“E-rules” (Item No. 130 in the 2008 Equipment and Supplies Catalog)
is now available. Little League District Administrators, umpire
registry members and coaches registry members all have been e-mailed
instructions for registering their computers to access the files.
New technology has changed the way users initially access the secure
electronic rulebooks included in the package. However, advances have
also given E-Rules access to Mac users and eliminated the need to
pay for the shipping of a CD, saving leagues money.
Also
new for 2008, E-Rules requires users to have one-time Internet
access on the computer where they will use the rules. Once users
save a rulebook to their hard drive and open it, they no longer have
to be online to use any of the rulebooks in the E-Rules service.
Nearly 1,000 users are already registered and using E-Rules. New
orders can be placed through your regional office or through the
Little League Headquarters. When calling to order, please have your
league ID number ready.
Names and email addresses for every E-rules user are required for
registration.
As with the printed rules, purchase of the E-Rules is exclusively
limited to District Administrators, Assistant District
Administrators, members of the local Little League Board of
Directors, and their appointed agents. This limited access to the
rulebooks is just one of the many benefits of belonging to a
chartered Little League program.
The rulebooks in E-Rules also include Spanish and French versions.
In addition, the Operating Manual is included (English only). As in
past years, selected rules are displayed on video in the E-Rules.
