Marilyn Wittstock Is 2009 Little League Challenger Award Winner
SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (Aug. 22, 2009) - Marilyn Wittstock of Washington Township, Mich., has volunteered in the Clinton Valley Little League and Michigan District 6 for more than 20 years. During the past three years, she raised more than $140,000 through donations and fundraising events in support of the Michigan District 6 Challenger Division to build a playing field specifically designed for disabled children.

Little League Challenger Division Players Participate In MLB All-Star Week Event
SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (July 23, 2009) – Hillsboro (Mo.) R-3 Little League was invited to participate in the 2009 Challenger Champions Game at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, as part of the Major League Baseball All-Star Week festivities.

Fourth Annual World Challenger Jamboree Set for Spring 2009
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (Jan. 30, 2009) – Virginia District 8 will host the fourth annual “Challenger Little League Baseball World Jamboree” May 8-10, 2009 at the Azalea Little League Complex in Norfolk, Va. The jamboree will include games, tours, picnics and other special events.

  • Little League Western Region to Host Regional Challenger Fun DayWILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (April 15, 2009) – Local Little League administrators, parents and special needs children will gather in San Bernardino, Calif., on April 25-26 to participate in the Second Annual Little League Western Region Challenger Fun Day. This Little League event is one of several to be hosted in the coming months by Little League Baseball and Softball at various locations across the country.
  • Little League Challenger Day, Saturday May 16On April 25th, Little League International, Arizona State University, and the University of Oregon would like to invite you and your Little Leaguers to attend the “Little League Challenger Day.” The event will be held at the home field of the Sun Devils of Arizona State University in Tempe, at 6:30 PM, when the Sun Devils take on their conference rivals, the Ducks of Oregon.
  • Fifth Annual Western Region Challenger Jamboree Coming to Dublin, Calif.WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (April 23, 2009) – Local Little League administrators, parents and special needs children will gather in Dublin, Calif., on May 22-24, 2009 to participate in the fifth annual Western Region Challenger Jamboree. This Little League event is one of several to be hosted in the coming months by Little League Baseball and Softball at various locations across the country.
