World Series General InfoThe World Series will be played Aug. 20-29, 2010. All of the games will be played at the Little League International complex in Williamsport, PA. During the Little League Baseball World Series, please keep the following information in mind for your safety and enjoyment. The following items and activities are PROHIBITED in the Little League Complex:
Permitted Items
*Containers of liquid for infants (i.e. baby bottles, formula) will be permitted, but are subject to inspection. Special needs items allowed on the complex:
Smoking and use of smokeless tobacco products are prohibited on the Little League International complex. All items brought into the complex are subject to search and inspection. All blankets, chairs and personal items of any kind must be removed daily.There will be no claim check for prohibited items at the entry points. We reserve the right to remove from or deny access to Little League property any item, individual, or group whose actions are deemed inappropriate. - Security gates open daily at 9AM (time is subject to change). Tickets As always, tickets are free. Howard J. Lamade Stadium, where the final rounds of the Little League World Series have been played every year since 1959, seats approximately 10,000. The hillside terraces just beyond the outfield fence, which offers excellent viewing, can accommodate up to 30,000 more fans. Little League Volunteer Stadium, for early round games, seats about 5,000. The 2010 Series will again feature 16 teams from around the world. Admission to all Little League Baseball World Series games is free. For seating in the stadium on the final weekend, tickets have already been distributed by lottery. However, seating will be available on the famous “hill” or terraces overlooking the outfield fence, where no ticket is ever required. There is limited General Public seating in Lamade Stadium and Volunteer Stadium for all games other than the Championship Game. General Public seating for those games is available on a first-come, first-served basis. General Public seating ticket/passes are not available in advance but may be distributed prior to the respective games by Little League World Series ushers/personnel upon entering either stadium to assist World Series ushers/personnel in controlling crowd size. Souvenir tickets for the terraces are available by writing to: Attention – Souvenir Terrace Tickets; Little League International; 539 US Route 15 Hwy.; PO Box 3485; Williamsport, PA 17701. Include with your request a stamped, self-addressed envelope. These souvenir tickets will be mailed in early August. (Again, however, these tickets are not required for seating on the terraces.) Travel and Food For information on accommodations, local attractions, restaurants, other events during the week of the Little League World Series, etc., please call the Lycoming County Visitors Bureau at (570) 327-7700 or (800) 358-9900 or visit their website at www.vacationpa.com or visit the Susquehanna River Valley Visitors Bureau's website at www.visitcentralpa.com or call them at (800) 525-7320. If you are arriving by car, simply take U.S. Route 15 into South Williamsport, and follow the signs to the Little League Museum/Stadium Parking. Parking is free. If you are using a GPS unit for navigation on your trip to the Little League Baseball World Series, you should enter the following address: 570 East Central Avenue – South Williamsport, Pennsylvania. (Note: May be listed in some GPS units as “Central Avenue East.”) A wide variety of food and refreshments is available, and Little League World Series souvenirs are also available. Pin Trading is encouraged in a special area set-aside for this purpose. Fans are encouraged to visit the Little League Sponsors area.
